Administrative Assistant - Ministry of Welcome
Columbus, Ohio
Hours: Part-time (20 hours, 1 to 5pm Monday-Friday)

This individual

  • provides administrative and clerical support
  • assists in day-to-day activities
  • facilitates the flow of information to both internal and external groups
  • processes information and communicates projects and services as directed
  • compose reports and correspondence
  • edit documents with spelling and grammatical accuracy

It is helpful for applicants to have a working knowledge of the Catholic Church or willingness to learn. In addition, applicants

  • must be able to work with social media
  • possess an Associate's Degree in the field of business, other related field or equivalent experience
  • core knowledge in word-processing and office management.
  • two years of experience in an administrative assistant/secretarial position or equivalent
  • be proficient in a variety of computer software and data base programs
  • be a Able to work with minimal instructions

Gardener - Shepherd's Corner
Blacklick, Ohio
10 Month Seasonal (Feb-Nov), 40 hours weekly

This position is responsible for the development, management and oversight of the Shepherd's Corner pantry garden and a small on-site farm market. The individual provides general staff support in education, information dissemination, volunteer activities and general duties. The individual also understands and is able to represent the mission of Shepherd's Corner.


  • Education - Bachelor's Degree in Sustainable Agriculture, related field or equivalent.
  • Experience - Organic production; working with volunteers of various ages; marketing and sales; educational presentation experience preferred.

Lead Technician
Columbus, Ohio
Hours: Full-time

Responsible for general commercial building maintenance of the Motherhouse and Martin de Porres. Works closely with the administrators of each facility to assure a well-maintained facility. Working knowledge for power distribution systems, fire panels, commercial air conditioning, steam boilers, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, commercial air handlers, building automation systems, commercial heating systems, and fire pumps.


  • Associate's degree in a technical field
  • Two to four years of experience working in facility maintenance
  • A combination of education, experience, and training may be substituted when competency in the position is demonstrated
  • Experience and knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and various mechanical systems
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License

Contingent (PRN) RN or LPN
Mohun Health Care Center
Columbus, Ohio
Hours: 6:30pm to 7am
Pay is based upon experience. Long-term Care experience preferred. This position reports to the Director of Nursing.


  • Maintaining standards of care performed on the unit (floor).
  • Overseeing the distribution of staffing resources and supplies.
  • Assuring appropriate and quality care is given to all residents.
  • Communicating resident needs to attending physicians as necessary.
  • Assuring care is given in accordance with federal and state guidelines.

Nursing Assistant
Akron Motherhouse
Akron, Ohio

The Wellness Center provides nursing care at an assisted living level and is located in the Akron Motherhouse.

All nursing staff work is done under the general supervision of an RN. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting Sisters in ADL's
  • Reporting any change in the health status of a Sister to the Nurse Manager or her designee
  • Assessing basic vital signs: B/P, temp, pulse, and respiration
  • Communicating Sister needs to appropriate staff members
  • Providing emergency care as able
  • Alerting appropriate staff for maintenance or other environmental needs
  • Assisting with activities as needed
  • Providing complete verbal and written report to alternate shifts
  • Assisting the Sisters in activities that promote spiritual life/growth
  • Maintaining the highest level of professional, medical confidentiality
  • Remaining proficient and aware of all policies & procedures of the Wellness Center and the Dominican Sisters of Peace
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager or her designee


  • STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant)
  • Ability to assist persons with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's)
  • Pleasant and caring disposition
  • Previous patient care experience or experience in the medical field is helpful, especially with the elderly
