AKRON, OH - Winners of the 14th Annual Bishop's Scholarship for Excellence were honored at a luncheon on Friday, July 27. Aubrey Kozer, a senior at Our Lady of the Elms High School, was one of six high school students in the Cleveland Diocese to win a $2,500 scholarship. This was the second year that Aubrey won this scholarship. Barbara Sutherland, a seventh grader at Our Lady of the Elms, was one of 16 elementary school students to win an $800 scholarship. The students were asked to write an essay on their relationship with Jesus and how it affects their everyday life. The Catholic Education Endowment Trust in the Cleveland Diocese provides the scholarships.
