Ecology and Care of the Earth

In addition to traditional teaching venues, Dominican Sisters of Peace are adapting their educational charism to ecology. Ecological issues are part of the Catholic social justice agenda and the sisters use the term “eco-spirituality” to reflect the spiritual dimension in the science of ecology that is fostered in eco-spirituality centers across the United States.

    Demonstrating practical applications of ecology, this 130-acre farm and education center is a living laboratory based on principles of spirituality, social justice and environmental protection, while supporting a 138-family Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Project.
