Sr. Adrian Hofstetter Article Featured in LILIPOH Magazine
Sr. Adrian Hofstetter recently had an article featured in issue of LILIPOH magazine (Spring 2010), a lifestyles magazine for the growing populace known as ‘culture-creatives,’ folks interested in holistic health, well-being, creativity, spirituality, biodynamic gardening, childhood, art, and social health. Her article, “Liberal Arts: Disappearing? Or Renewing?” discusses whether our Western culture is losing its essence to TVs and computers. In this technical age, Sr. Adrian reviews these effects on our bodies, souls, and spirits.

Celebrating One Year & the Commitments of 500+ Associates
It has been a week of celebration and thanksgiving for the Dominican Sisters of Peace, a congregation of Dominican Sisters founded on Easter Sunday 2009 through the union of seven former congregations. With offices, ministries, Sisters, and Associates in several geographic locations, the congregation commemorated its first anniversary with celebrations throughout the week in various parts of the country and world, with many events taking place this past weekend. An important part of the anniversary celebrations were special ceremonies where hundreds of Dominican Associates re-committed themselves to the mission of the Dominican Sisters of Peace.

This month’s “Just Reflecting” essay introduces the complicated issue of human trafficking, with statistics that shock most Americans and a sample of underlying causes that must be addressed. St. Catharine College Honors Dominican Sisters
ST. CATHARINE, KY – On March 16, the Education Department of St. Catharine College sponsored a Day of Appreciation for the Dominican Sisters of Peace. Sisters from the local Motherhouse and Sansbury Care Center attended a special luncheon held at Spalding Student Center.

Remembering Archbishop Romero 30 Years Later
Sisters and Associates of the Dominican Sisters of Peace will commemorate the life of Archbishop Oscar Romero with a common prayer service to be held in various locations around the 30th anniversary of his martyrdom, March 24, 2010.

DLC Seeks Solutions for Adult Literacy Crisis
The Dominican Learning Center (Columbus, OH) is one of hundreds of organizations from around the country attending the first-ever national conference on adult basic education and literacy in Chicago, Ill., the week of March 15. In light of this historic conference, the Dominican Learning Center is asking the people of Central Ohio to urge local Congressional representatives to support increased funding for adult education.
